We hope some of the things we've been
doing will be of interest, giving you an insight into what we do and what makes
us tick. |

| February 2012 |
Lucy and Terry filming on a hazardous,
derelict demolition site, in 6 degrees below zero and on frozen snow. Deadlines
to meet so nothing gets in our way, but maybe boots with thicker soles would
have helped. Brrr

10 YEARS ANNIVERSARY - COMPANY DAY
OUT Great news. Tickets for British Grand Prix @ Silverstone 8th August now
booked. What a disappointment that the BBC hasn't retained the live broadcast
rights for the whole season. One of the very best examples of TV sports
coverage and production - free to watch too! |
| January 2012 |
Working with an advertising agency and entirely
from graphic designs, we've just produced a nifty animated advert to explain a
brand new rental concept. We're not allowed to say who it's for just yet but
the launch will be quite soon. Our thanks to Michelle for a fabulous voiceover
too - you nailed it ! |
| December 2011 |
|
December has involved us in more unusual
projects. Ever suffered from back pain? The exercise DVD will be available in
January 2012 supporting the book that's already on sale. Produced for sale in
UK and USA it uses both PAL and NTSC television standards. |
| December 2011 |
 December
kicked off with production of more in store, point of sale adverts. Client
preparing for several new product launches. Our production formula generates
some astonishing sales results. Despite the month being manic, we even managed
to slot in an urgent web advert for Cheltenham's largest gymnasium &
fitness studio - on our doorstep so nice to work locally for a change. Terry,
perhaps you should return later to work off some of that excess ? ? |
| November 2011 |
|
Events photography launched with projects
for Worcestershire official tourism and also a new conference centre launch at
Three Counties Showground. Lucy is our specialist and gained great client
feedback. |
| October 2011 |
|
Finally, managed to squeeze in time to
update our show-reel. Susie, Lucy and Michelle introduce viewers to v-i,
explain what we do, our resources and ethos. Not overlooking that it's a
'show-reel' we included clips extracted from a few of our more recent projects.
Oh yeah, Terry makes a very rare appearance in front of the camera - Sorry
about that viewers ! |
| October 2011 |
What do you do on a cold
and frosty October day when the advert script calls for beautiful red tomatoes
to be plucked from its plant? The answer is easy. Buy them from Morrisons and
sew them on to the stalks. We had to laugh too - Mental ! |
| September 2011 |
|
Introducing a new visual background effect
produced in studio as one of our regular clients launches six more in store
adverts. Technically quite demanding but the effect will be unusual and
stunning. Pre-production scriptwriting starts mid Sept. Excited and looking
forward to the filming as we've already got another application planned for
it. |
| September 2011 |
Expo booked. First time for us so lots of
prepartions ahead. Refreshing to try something different. Lucy and Terry both
there. Should be fun. Wonder how it will turn out? |
| September 2011 |
|
Phase two of midlands based accountants
promo gets underway. Filming schedule requires mutiple locations each with
portable studio kit so quite a demanding 1st couple of weeks. That should shake
the holiday sleep out of us and quickly get us back in to the swing. |
| August 2011 |
Looking forward to a bit of a break to
re-charge the batteries. Autumn is
 traditionally pretty busy. |
| July 2011 |
|
Dutch client that supplies outdoor
lighting has commissioned us to produce a promo for a select range of their
products. Filming all done with Lucy, Terry & Jack. Produced some neat
animated graphics. Susie has done the English voiceover. We're now adding
Dutch, German, French, Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian versions. |
| July 2011 |
Another episode in a 6-month series of in depth
production and quality control films for an electronics manufacturer.
|
| July 2011 |
|
Filming starts for midlands based group
of tax advisers and accountants to produce a promo for their services. This
project aims to build trust and reliability on a localised basis. |
| June 2011 |
Lucy, Terry & Michelle start filming a
6-month series of in depth production and quality control films for an
electronics manufacturer. A well-known brand name in their field this will
underpin their position as a supplier of high quality products that are all
British made. Together with these intricate films, cut down online versions are
being re-mastered in a quirky style for online viral marketing. |
| June 2011 |
|
Whilst film production remains our primary
service, we launched our new product photography service. Lucy becomes Head of
Product Photography along with her role as Artistic Adviser for film shoots.
|
| June 2011 |
Filming promo for a training organisation.
Includes carefully written interview questions and natural responses from
established delegates. |
| June 2011 |
|
Lucy takes on new role as Artistic
Adviser, which involves interpreting visual requirements of a storyboard
through to directing some of our shoots. |
| May 2011 |
Filming promo for midlands based Technology and
Manufacturing networking forum. Includes powerful voxpops. |
| May 2011 |
|
Filming yet another high calibre speaker
for the online TV channel that we run, this time from Siemens. This place pulls
in some of the top industrialists from around the Midlands, typically from
Jaguar Land Rover, Bosch, JCB and BMW. |
| May 2011 |
Several studio recording sessions for multilingual
dubbing of HG induction films. Devised innovative way to handle all the
synchronisations, between, English, Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Polish, Romanian and
Russian. Got them all absolutely spot on so we're very pleased with how well we
did. Received very complimentary feedback from client as to how effective the
films were. That's always nice. |
| May 2011 |
|
"It's a wrap." Finally finished the HG
filming. |
| April 2011 |
|
Special showing of the MBH "Overview" film
@ WBBC, where LG and Terry met 3 years ago. Great viewer feedback so client and
production company both well pleased. |
| April 2011 |
Lucy and Terry well engrossed in the HG induction
training films. Shooting 4 different films all at the same time, spread over
the entire month and everything shot out of sequence means we really do have to
concentrate on the filming schedules to make sure nothing gets missed and that
it all comes together perfectly. Conditions at times pretty mucky so thank
goodness for the 4x4. New pressure washer needed! |
| March 2011 |
|
Lots of preparation for new multilingual
project due to start in April. This is one big daddy of a job and it's breaking
some new technical ground for v-i so it's very exciting. |
| February 2011 |
"It's a wrap". Another one of our
more lengthy productions finally finished. MBH, the children's charity that we
support really deserved this to work for them. We've wanted to do one in this
style for a long time so we're delighted that it came out as well as it has. It
was all possible thanks to lottery funding. |
| February 2011 |
|
Lucy, Terry and Jack filming an advert in
Bromsgrove for a Dutch client that supplies outdoor lighting. Some interesting
effects had to be achieved. One being where we had to get a number of shots in
just the right semi dark conditions during a 20-minute window of twilight.
Lighting conditions called for great camera expertise. It came out exactly as
we'd planned. |
| February 2011 |
One of our favourite engagements on the
calendar. Multi-camera filming in Bath where schools from across Wiltshire
perform dance themes over two evenings. These kids are unbelievably talented.
Some of the older ones will unquestionably go on to dance professionally.
Really hope the government cut backs in schools sports don't impact on what is
a truly magnificent project for these young people. |
| February 2011 |
|
Filming in Trowbridge for the Wiltshire
schools dance festival. Another very challenging assignment. These young people
have severe physical disabilities so we film them at their special school. They
also have a very limited period of concentration so once filming starts it has
to be wrapped up within 2 hrs. Very impressed with how they conducted
themselves - well done, kids. We show their performance on large screen to the
audience at the live event, later in the month. It always gets a fabulous
reception. |
| January 2011 |
|
Susie and Terry on more filming for the
MBH "Overview". Susie found it quite emotional, filming at school for children
with special needs but we pressed on and got exactly the footage we wanted.
Still loads more to do later in the month. |
| January 2011 |
 Snow cleared so previously delayed
multi-camera shoot goes ahead with Lucy, Terry and TV celebrity chef Alan
Coxon. Funded by a consortium of Local Government, Advantage West Midlands,
DEFRA and others, the theme was to feature all local produce as a cookery
programme to promote tourism. In addition to the filming we also did product
photography. None of the crew took sandwiches that day - work it out for
yourself! |
| January 2011 |
|
Time to take another good cause under our
wing. Every year we select a new venture to support alongside our ongoing
support for our favourite charity. This year it's "The Box Zine", a free
publication produced by young creatives helping other young creatives bring
their talents to the commercial world. |
| January 2011 |
First day back after the holiday. What a wake up, being
on location by 8 am to film the NHS training film. 3-day multi-camera shoot
with Terry on No 1, Lucy on No 2 and Jack on sound. Helped by the hospital
staff we had a hilarious time producing this film in a comedy style. Plenty of
laughs and some great outtakes that we'll present to the staff as a memento of
the shoot. |
| December 2010 |
|
Tasked to script write and storyboard a
comedy training film for NHS. Not known for being a very good comedian Terry
came up with a John Cleese styled production. This will be the first of its
kind for v-i. Should be interesting. |
| December 2010 |
Everybody snowed in so had to postpone the cookery demonstrations
with TV celebrity chef Alan Coxon. We were all looking forward to it so
disappointment all round. |
| December 2010 |
|
Travelling light and by train with minimum
equipment (just one large trolley and one wheelie bag). Filming at Chartered
Quality Institute in Central London. Not very easy carting all that stuff
through the underground, especially as the leg is still suffering from the
accident. Thanks Alan, for being Terry's Sherpa. |
| November 2010 |
Filming yet another high calibre speaker for the online
TV channel that we run, this time from Haldex. Lots of interesting tips how
they recovered the business. Especially like the "sales" analogy between a
shotgun that kills verses a scattergun that simply annoys. How true!
|
| November 2010 |
|
Susie and Terry start the final "Overview"
film for MBH, the charity that v-i supports. Funded by the lottery so
everyone's a winner. Quite a complicated project ahead of us with multiple
locations, shooting one continuous script running from one into the other.
Should be a great effect when it's finished. |
| November 2010 |
Multi-camera live relay to large screens for NHS awards. Gosh, it
was cold whilst setting up until finally they put the heating on just before
the audience arrived. Emma Jesson (Central TV weather girl) was there. What a
nice lady to speak to! (Credit to T.T.Ents365) |
| November 2010 |
|
Lucy and Terry filming sales conference
in Coventry for Gloucestershire based, Canadian Insurances Company. 10hrs of
rushes (film footage) to sift through for the edit ! |
| November 2010 |
 After sitting around drinking
endless cups of coffee until 11:30 am, the 2nd day of filming at Chateau
Impney, Droitwich, had to be called off because the fog didn't lift.
Fortunately, Susie & Terry got it done the following week. |
| November 2010 |
|
4-day shoot for NHS awards. 2nd year in
succession. Lucy and Terry really love doing this job so thanks to T.T.Ents365
for asking us to do the filming, once again. Went really well apart from Terry
being caught speeding whilst driving from one hospital location to another. No
flashing blue lights for film crews! |
| October 2010 |
Rained all the way driving to and from Bolton for Susie and Terry's
shoot for the ASDA store advert. Terry lost his favourite scarf at Knutsford
services, but apart from that everything else was perfect. |
| October 2010 |
|
Terry threw away the crutch! Poor
impersonation of Eddie Murphey "I can walk again, I can walk again. It's a
miracle". Sad, but let him have his moment of celebration. |
| October 2010 |
Filming sports resource for client supplying
interactive coaching to Sport England. First day @ Sunderland was 21hrs so
pretty exhausted when we got back. Remaining days @ Sunderland, Slough &
Wantage nearly as long. Ended up with 14 hrs of rushes (film footage) to
synchronise cameras and edit. Thanks to T.T.Ents365 (colleague to Terry and
another client) for helping. Lucy's first full time project as No 2 camera went
well. |
| October 2010 |
|
Follow on series of adverts agreed with
gardening Tool Company. Weather looking pretty poor for outdoor filming.
|
| October 2010 |
Susie and Terry shooting new advert for a well known DIY
Tools supplier. Looking forward to throwing away the crutch. |
| September 2010 |
|
Thanks to Pete and Mark @ CESTAM for being
Terry's chauffeurs to film Group MD of JCB for the online TV channel that we
run. Yes, there was some good-humoured leg pulling about one tripod for the
camera and another (2 legs plus the crutch) to stop him falling over but most
importantly, the effort we made to ensure the shoot went ahead was much
appreciated. |
| September 2010 |
Filming at HG's Big Bank Party, where they treat all
their employees to a great evening of outdoor entertainment. People must have
thought Terry was mad turning up, walking with a crutch in one hand and a
camera in the other. Can't let down a client though, so thanks to Steph' for
lending a hand - literally! |
| August 2010 |
|
Thought that after 8 years of film
production maybe we should start a news page? Okay, let's kick off with Terry
getting back into the swing of things after he came out of hospital following
his impression of Rod Hull on the roof - or "off it" would be more accurate!
